[After her Destruction]

In conjunction with her exhibition at Kunsthaus Hamburg, Lila-Zoé Krauß, also known as L Twills, presents a live version of [After her Destruction] at Kampnagel. The queer opera project was released as a double album on Misitunes in February this year.

The project tells the story of Girl, who travels through her own mind with the help of a computer program. In search of a lost memory, Girl gets caught up in a maelstrom of imagination and destruction. Musically, L Twills fuses vocals, beats and electro-acoustic sounds to create exciting avant-pop that echoes the work of Laurie Anderson, Meredith Monk and AHNONI. Conceived as a cross-genre Gesamtkunstwerk, L Twills has collaborated with filmmaker Helena Wittmann and a number of international performers, including singer and performance artist Don Jegosah and drag performance artist Anto López Espinosa. Both will now take part in the performance of [After her Destruction] at Kampnagel. Framed by L Twills' music, the three artists will engage in a performative conversation between poetry, sound, language, drag and voice to open up a space in which emotions, memories, vulnerability and queer love find expression.
