The workshop by artist Sohorab Rabbey focuses on urban landscapes and infrastructure. It explores how cities are constantly changing, particularly through land development and water management, and how this affects the surrounding human, animal and plant life. Built and natural environments emerge as living archives that span generations. Using traditional Asian fabric dyeing techniques, especially tie-dye, participants approach these spaces in a collaborative artistic investigation.

The workshop is an extension of Sohorab Rabbey's work Deep Down the Elbe, Up Above the Teesta (2025), which is on display in the exhibition Future Continuous. In the installation, the rivers Elbe and Teesta meet as carriers of geological, political and colonial history, pointing to the intertwining of waterways, material flows and memory.
