For the opening of NEUSPRÉCH at Kunsthaus Hamburg, Oliver Ross and Simon Starke will be in conversation with media anthropologist Max Walther about writing and speaking as collective and physical practice: What is the relationship between individual and collective expression in this context? What is writing or speaking with the body? And do writing and speaking work differently in art than in literature or philosophy?
Max Walther is a research assistant at the Graduate School of Media Anthropology at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. In 2019, together with Prof. Dr. Martina Bengert and Thomas Sojer, he founded trans | discipline Simone Weil denkkollektiv.
NEUSPRÉCH was conceived by the Hamburg based artists Oliver Ross and Simon Starke. It has prior been shown at Centre for Artists‘ Publications, Weserburg Museum für moderne Kunst, Bremen (2020) and at Klassik Stiftung, Weimar (2022).
