Based on the philosophical approach of Ernst Bloch (1885-1977), Anna Goldmund creates her spatial installation Homo absconditus - der verborgene Mensch, which becomes the venue for her performative practice. In a cube, the artist activates Bloch's concept of homeland.

On the opening night and in the weekly performances, small cards with quotes by Bloch and reinterpretations become the starting point of interaction with the artist. Visitors, who are asked to join the dialog in the cube, will receive a handwritten affirmation or symbol that relates to them and can be taken away as a "letter against fear". The conversation and the cards are intended to provide inspiration and remind visitors that they can become creators of their own self anytime and anywhere.

Anna Goldmund initially trained as a commercial artist (1995) before studying communication theory and illustration at HAW Hamburg (1997-99). Since then, her works have been shown in several exhibitions in Germany and abroad. She has founded and managed various galleries, works as a curator, lecturer in painting and drawing and, above all, as a freelance artist. Her work focuses on the conflicts of human existence in confrontation with a crisis-ridden, alienated environment.
