What happens when historical images intersect with contemporary experiences of crisis? And how does this change our perspective on reality and memory?
As part of the exhibition Nobody Ran, curator Anna Nowak speaks with artist Andrey Klassen about the creation of the large-scale installation and the themes underlying his work. The conversation will rrevolve around questions about the relationship between drawing and space, references to art history, urban historical contexts and the tension between visibility, denial and awareness. Together, they will discuss how historical events, collective memories and current experiences of crisis overlap in Andrey Klassen’s visual worlds and what role art can play in questioning entrenched patterns of perception. The talk offers insights into the artistic and curatorial process and invites visitors to view the exhibition from a new perspective.
