For the Panorama series, the Kunsthaus will stay open later. From 6 to 10 p.m., the Kunsthaus foyer will serve as a stage for a varied music program curated by Nguyen Phuong-Dan. On February 6, the Hamburg-based duo Gebrochene Beine, consisting of Eric Falconnier (Queller Trio, Schluss) and Sebastian Stein (kari solid, Dumm Dumm Duo), will perform one of their improv concerts. The performance will be accompanied by a DJ set from avavava, the alias of Ava König, who, in addition to her artistic practice, is part of the group Motto and Hallo Radio.

The event will feature the opening of the next presentation in the Stille Post series. As the fourth artist, Pia Pospischil will present her video installation Supervision No. 5, newly produced specifically for this format. She was invited by her predecessor, Altay Tuz.

Through the formats established since 2024, the foyer of the Kunsthaus Hamburg is intended to increasingly develop into an open space for gathering. The program emphasizes the Kunsthaus’s positioning as a spatial and discursive hub within the city while simultaneously drawing on the institution’s early years, having been founded in 1962 on the initiative of regional artists. In the Kunsthaus’s original building, which was once located at the Ferdinandstor, the in-house venue Panorama, with its view of the Binnenalster, served as a place for visitors to linger and meet. The title “Panorama” not only refers to the spatial setting but also alludes to the breadth of the visual and auditory field of perception, as well as a diverse spectrum of artistic perspectives.
