The installation Détournement viral by choreographer Véronique Langlott at Kunsthaus Hamburg is a 3-hour multimedia event of dance, light and sound that invites the audience to move freely in the space. It deals on an artistic-philosophical level with viral structures and their inherent processes of destabilization and the potentiality of destruction and reconstruction and reflects them in reference to the current social context. Détournement viral investigates the space inbetween calcualability and control, disruption as well as change. It also reflects on questions of interdependencies in the world: Are we an intra-active part of an organism, and in which way can the demarcation between individual, human and nature can be transcended by ourselves?

Blasted by booming sound and the voice of Helena Ratka, the space is made to float. At the same time, Katrin Bethge’s analog live projection immerses the venue in changing colors and creates a visual frenzy in which the dancer Véronique Langlott moves. Following the award-winning production Restructuring (2015; 2017 Hauptsache Frei Festival Jury Prize; 2019 PAF & Friends Festival Berlin), Véronique Langlott (dance) collaborates again with the artists Katrin Bethge and Helena Ratka.
