In the talk, the two Hamburg-based artists Katja Pilipenko and Maik Gräf will talk about their three-month dépARTS residency at the Fondation Fiminco in Romainville / Paris. Made possible by a collaboration with the Claussen-Simon-Stiftung, they were able to work there locally in the workshops and studios in autumn 2024. The inspiring environment was enriched by the productive exchange with other international artists residing at the Fondation Fiminco. Visits to the most important fairs and galleries of the French capital as well as meetings with art experts and multipliers of the Parisian and international art scene were enabled through formats such as the Open Studio or the Fiminco Lunch.
In conversation with Anna Nowak, juror of the dépARTS residency programme and director of the Kunsthaus Hamburg, Katja Pilipenko and Maik Gräf will talk about their residency experiences, their artistic practice and present works that were created on site. The artist talk will be accompanied by a performance by French artist Théo Pézeril and a culinary intervention by Katja Pilipenko.
