Schuu is a multidisciplinary artist and DJ from Ukraine. She constantly explores new sounds and experiments with combining them within the DJ sets. Currently, her focus lies on the genres of breaks, electro, and EDM.
Mykola Lebed is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and artist who works at the intersection of acoustic and electronic music. Mainly known as a saxophone player from the Ukrainian free improvisation and psychedelic music scenes, Mykola is far from being limited to just one instrument. His solo works range from minimalist piano pieces and solo sax improvs, moving through ambient and leftfield electronics to the intense «all-together» heights, which you can usually reach during his live performances. By combining tembral diversity with a free jazz approach, Mykola creates a multi-layered stream of feelings, full of intimate insights and experiences.
Olha Udovenko, aka Udda, is a Ukrainian DJ and a former member of the Kultura Zvuku collective in Kharkiv. By working as a booker for the club in Kharkiv and developing the DJ school, Udda brought the music scene of the second biggest city of Ukraine to the forefront of international attention. Olha herself is known for her selections of groovy electro, breakbeat, and low-tempo IDM. In addition to being a resident and regularly performing at Kultura Zvuku, she has delivered signature performances at various venues and festivals across Ukraine, including ∄, Arsenal XXII, and Ickра festival. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Olga has been based in Berlin. During this time, she has already made a name for herself on the international stage, performing, to name a few, at venues such as About blank, RSO, and OXI in Berlin, Pudel in Hamburg, Fuchs2 in Prague, and Bassiani in Tbilisi.
«The Gathering Place// Місце Збору» is a series of cultural and educational events in Kunsthaus Hamburg. The events seek not only to bring together members of the Ukrainian cultural community, who fled the war and now find themselves in Hamburg, but also introduce them to the Hamburg local cultural actors. Through the events, the foyer of Kunsthaus Hamburg serves as a networking hub for sharing experiences, exchanging knowledge, doing collective artistic practices, and many more. The program is conceived by Lesia Hudz (*1999 in Luhansk, Ukraine)
