Aus dem Koffer – Zeichnungen auf Reisen aus Berlin, Hamburg, Köln, Stuttgart
Presentations of Drawings
hosted by the Kunsthaus Hamburg
Free participation
The project Aus dem Koffer connects artists from four different cities: in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Stuttgart, a suitcase filled with drawings is packed. Each suitcase then travels to the other three cities to be presented to an audience. The artworks will be transported in a simple and climate-conscious way – as hand luggage by train.
As part of the Hamburg edition of Aus dem Koffer, the city’s society will be invited to the foyer of the Kunsthaus Hamburg to discuss the drawings. Instead of a conventional presentation, there will be a shared ritual: the agents will open their suitcases, unfold the sheets individually with white cotton gloves and talk about the drawings and their journey. The project creates moments of togetherness and networking and thus ties in with the themes of the current exhibition Politics of Love.
