On four evenings, two internationally renowned architects will present their work and positions. The aim is to initiate a forward-looking discourse that links urban planning, architectural, and artistic issues and takes an integrated view of the interactions between artistic and social content. It preserves and communicates the ideas and architectural legacy of the architect, urban planner and former Hamburg Chief Building Director Fritz Schumacher (1869-1947). Inspired by his thinking, we take an interdisciplinary view on the future of the city as a cultural and living space and initiate a considered discourse on current issues of architecture and urbanism. The Fritz Schumacher Gesellschaft has been organized on a voluntary basis since 1994 and is independent of political and professional constraints; it is supported by the personal commitment of around 100 members and their enthusiasm for high-quality and forward-thinking architecture and urban space.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
An Event of Fritz-Schumacher-Gesellschaft e.
