The event will take place outside.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Free participation<br \/>\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">Please register in advance until 6.1. via mail to<\/span>&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #333333;\"><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"mailto:register@kunsthaushamburg.de\">register@kunsthaushamburg.de!<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hiwa K&rsquo;s art is explicitly aimed at generating a broad social response and thereby bringing about real change. For his performance series <em>Cooking with Mama<\/em>, the artist invites people with a history of migration to call good friends and relatives and to cook their favourite dishes in front of an audience and then share a meal together. To this end, he has developed a street kitchen bike inspired by food stands in Iraq and Syria. The shared culinary experience creates encounters capable of prompting dialogue and, by sharing the recipes, extending beyond the performance period itself.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the context of the exhibition project <a href=\"https:\/\/kunsthaushamburg.de\/en\/politics-of-love\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Politics of Love<\/em><\/a>, Hiwa K&rsquo;s mobile kitchen will travel to three public cultural venues in different parts of Hamburg over the course of the exhibition, where it will be used to engage with the local communities, thus expanding the exhibition into the urban space.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second <em>Cooking with Mama<\/em> event in Hamburg will take place in front of Galerie Gem&uuml;se at Hein-K&ouml;llisch-Platz, where the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stadtkuratorin-hamburg.de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">City Curator<\/a> Joanna Warsza will be cooking together with the Artistic Director of the Kunsthaus Hamburg Anna Nowak.
