Love is a driving force of our existence that also affects our encounters and collective interactions. Despite its commercialization through the global mechanisms of consumerism, it retains its transformative potential.<\/span><\/div>\n

In the face of social division, escalating conflicts worldwide and increasing isolation, the international group exhibition Politics of Love<\/em><\/a><\/span> focusses on a political concept of love – forms of intimacy, the common good and multi-perspectival experiential abundance as a basis for togetherness in solidarity and diversity.<\/div>\n

With this workshop, we are building on the idea of mutual participation, empathy and networking on a practical level: together, the participants will design and write Christmas mail to people living in nursing homes or to their own relatives and friends. The mail art that was sent to the Kunsthaus Hamburg as part of the exhibition under the question ‘What is a politics of love’ will serve as inspiration.<\/p>\n

The workshop is being organised in collaboration with Post mit Herz<\/a> <\/em><\/span>– a charitable project that aims to tackle loneliness. The organisation connects social institutions with card writers so that people who are particularly affected by loneliness receive letters at Christmas, for example, and do not feel forgotten.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
