Music, drinks and free admission every first Thursday of the month<\/strong><\/p>\n

The doors of the Kunsthaus stay open longer on the first Thursday of every month for the Panorama<\/em><\/strong> event series. From 6 pm to 10 pm, the foyer of the institution becomes a stage for a changing music programme conceived by Nguyen Phuong-Dan<\/strong><\/a>. On 3 October, the artist and musician Nika Son<\/strong><\/a> will present her new miniatures mirrored across the room in concert for the first time. Before and after, Kyiv producer and DJ Sasha Zlykh<\/strong><\/a>, who has been following a unique musical path since the age of 17, will perform a listening DJ set. The exhibition Dance, Dance, Revolution<\/em><\/a> will beopen throughout the evening.<\/p>\n

On the same evening, the opening of the next presentation in the exhibition series Whisper Down the Lane will<\/em><\/strong> take place. As the third artist, Altay Tuz will show his photography Untitled (Waiting Room).<\/em> He has been invited by his predecessor Fritz Lehmann.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The new series of events and exhibitions is intended to turn the Kunsthaus foyer into an open space for people to come together. The programme emphasises the role of the Kunsthaus as a spatial and discursive hub within the city and at the same time ties in with the early years of the institution, which was founded in 1962 on the initiative of regional artists. In the original building of the Kunsthaus, which was once located at Ferdinandstor, the in-house restaurant Panorama with a view of the Inner Alster Lake offered a place for visitors to rest and socialize. The title Panorama<\/em> not only refers to the spatial aspect, but also to the width of the visual and auditory field of perception as well as to a diverse spectrum of artistic perspectives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
